Become one with the blade...Iki told himself as he swung the kendo sword accurately into the training dummy before him.He smiled as he swung the sword multiple times into the limbs and center of the doll,scoring each strike he threw.Iki wasn't the best swordsman in his grade,but he was getting there.And there was no better way to do it than by training.It was one of the only lessons his father ever taught him:to work hard at anything you do.That was the Shouten way.Iki's dull gray eyes never left the doll,his brow furrowed with concentration as he continued to strike.
It seemed that Iki's strikes increased in strength the more he focused.His thoughts moved from the doll to his goals as he continued to strike.His goal of becoming a captain,of restoring his family's former glory,of becoming the greatest shinigami in the history of the Gotei 13.Snap!Iki was brought back to the real world.He had destroyed his kendo sword when he struck the doll too hard.
Iki Shouten tossed the sword back,sighing as he went over to the window.He bent down and picked up the water bottle that rested on the floor and gulped down the contents of the bottle.He let out a long breath of refreshment as he began looking out the window.In an instant,Iki's face lit up as he had a new thought.He rushed to the rack of kendo swords and picked up a new one and ran back toward the window,throwing it open as he took a long breath and began to shout out the window.
Hey!I'll take on anyone of ya!Anyone who wants some of this can come get it!I'll beat you all if I have to!Iki pulled himself back from the window,a large grin on his face.He'd have some explaining to do if a captain answered his call,but those guys never came down to the dojo.If anything,he'd get some prideful meathead destined for the 11th Division who's looking to pound anythign with a pulse.If he was lucky,that is.
