Personality: Methias is a confident, relaxed, and genuinely friendly person. He spends most of his time flirting with the many beautiful women of the Soul Society, apparently due to his search of finding his "one true love". He is as loyal as a puppy, although he isn't afraid to stand against views he disagree's with. He doesn't seem to ever show fear, he himself seeing it as a weakness, especially in battle. Due to this, he has a somewhat firey nature, which will cause him to jump into danger without hesitation. A weakness, one might say, a strength say others. He is also incredibly intelligent, which often ends up with him creating many unique and wonderous inventions.

During battle, he is somewhat a onlooker, spending his time watching his allies fight, before jumping in when needed. Due to this, he is the ideal person to interfere when a battle looks against someone. He is also an intelligent fighter, capable of thinking up a strategy at a moments notice, even in the most heated of battles. He is a calm fighter, making him a truly effective killing machine when need be.

History: Born in England some point in the early 1600's, he lived peacefully by the standards of those times. He wasn't a particularly exceptional being, incredibly average by most standards. However, during his early 20's, he became part of the James the First's royal guards. After around a year of serving, he died due to a mysterious wound that could not have been varified during those times.

Awakening in Rukongai, he had no memory of his life, and even less of his death. Somewhat shaken by the fact he was now a spirit, he became a thug, robbing off of those weaker than him, getting into fights constantly. Each day was the same as the last, eventually leading him to be hunted down by Soul Society for his unruly behavior. However, once faced with a Shinigami, the Shinigami quickly discovered how much potential Methias had. After a quick battle, Methias caused the Shinigami to flee, but not before discovering that this Shinigami was a seated member, 17th.

Days passed before another Shinigami was sent, a Lieutenant. However, instead of battling, Methias was told of what the Shinigami did, and asked whether he wanted to train to become one. As he was told about this, a new leaf was turned, and he finally turned his back on his thuggish lifestyle, taking up the offer.

Merely days passed, and his training begun. He was given a black uniform, one that fit him perfectly. His first few lessons seemed to already show great potential. His first Kido lesson ended with him -nearly- performing a white lightening. His swordplay lessons showed even greater potential, arguably his best aspect. Every lesson saw him progress further and further, and after his years of training had finished, he came top of his class and was entered into the Twelth Division.

Several years then passed, possibly even a few hundred. Climbing through the ranks, Methias ended up as the Lieutenant. At somepoint during this, Methias had revealed his Zanpaktou, a dual blade type, something incredibly rare, truth be told. He had also obtained his Bankai some time during these years, rumors saying that it was during the last quarter of these years. During the years after, he spent much of his time training to master his Bankai, something he has recently done.

Days ago, however, the previous Twelth Captain had died, Methias stepping up to the mark as the logical choice.
