Kaiyo liked the Shinigami Academy, she always had something to do there; even between classes the girl always found some kind of activity to amuse her. Today was sword skill day, or so Kaiyo had called it on her walk over to the Dojo. Bounding along the path with her blonde girl dancing along behind her, it was early Sunday morning and as usual Kaiyo couldn't sleep. Rather than lying in bed and watching the sun creep up the side of her all Kaiyo had decided she could get some training, and liking nothing better than swinging a sword around her body the girl's choice seemed fairly obvious.

Kaiyo flung open the doors of the Dojo and grinned, she had the whole place to herself. Taking in a deep breath the girl stepped inside, the sun already spilling through the high windows around the Dojo, and the faint whistling of the wind just seemed to make Kaiyo's day better. After a bit of jogging and stretching Kaiyo picked up her wooden bokken and took her first stance. Kaiyo swung her sword straight across her body, bringing it back with a diagonally downwards sweep. The girl grinned, she loved the sound of her sword slicing through the air in the morning.

Ochiba leaned against a wall in the dojo, no sun entering the corner where he stood. He had been practicing until one in the morning, like he had in the good old days, and had just woken up. Only a few hours of sleep was good enough for him, he did most of his sleeping on the weekends. Man weekends rock..I don't have to do anything but eat and sleep... Ochiba thought to himself cheerfully. With his academy robes still on, he was leaning in the shadows with his head tilted downward and his eyes shut. He noticed the sound of the doors opening, and later the faint wush of a wooden bokken being swung. He looked over to his bokken and noticed that it was still propped up against the wall next to him. He grabbed the handle of the bokken and raised it up, resting it on his shoulder.

Ochiba pushed off of the wall with his back, standing still for a few seconds. Then, he went about squatting and stretching, not caring if the girl noticed his sudden presence. When he had finished he turned to the girl without actually looking at her. "How about you swing at something real." He offered, a smile now appearing on his face.

Kaiyo managaed to stop herself jumping through the roof when a guy appeared in the corner of her eye and started stretching. The girl smirked at him, holding her bokken casually at her side Kaiyo nodded, 'Sure thing' the blonde girl was yet to pass up an opportunity for some more practise. Kaiyo took a few steps back and gripped her bokken tightly. The guy was an academy student at least, so Kaiyo just had to guess they'd be at about the same level. Her headband tied neatly around her forehead the small girl could feel her nerves tingling with excitement, she loved a good fight.

Shuffling her feet into a more comfortable stance Kaiyo looked up to her new opponent, 'I'm Kaiyo by the way. Ready when you are' her words spoken sweetly as a glimmer of enjoyment ran across her eyes.

Ochiba smiled back, his green hair falling down in his eyes once again. He pushed his bangs away, only to have them fall back in place a second or so later. Giving up, he turned his attention to the girl. Spreading his feet to shoulder-width, he gripped his bokken firmly and placed it in front of him. The right side of his body faced Kaiyo, and so did the tip of his bokken. "Keigai Ochiba, born ready." Ochiba said in confident tone. His smile remained as he ran the first couple feet between them. His first swing wouldn't be light or slow, but it would be obvious and easy to block. He came at her from her left, swinging vertically in an attempt to hit her rib cage.

Kaiyo readied herself as Ochiba ran towards her, despite his lame 'born ready' phrase which the girl couldn't help but giggle at, his attack came fast and strong. Kaiyo spun on the ball of her foot bringing her bokken up to meet his attack. The initial force of the swords colliding had made Kaiyo lose her balance slightly, Kaiyo retreated backwards for her turn. The small blonde girl was still grinning widely, allowing herself a small sigh to relish in the moment Kaiyo gripped the handle of her bokken tighter.

Pushing off from her right foot Kaiyo held her sword horizontally at her waist, bringing it diagonally upwards along Ochiba's body. The girl had always relied on her instinct in combat, it hadn't taken Kaiyo long to realise her instincts guided her better in combat than her mind. Kaiyo stepped her foot to the right of Ochiba, spinning round him as she swung her bokken with her, ending with a swing against the top of his back. Re-arranging her stance Kaiyo smirked once more and awaited the rebuttle.

Ochiba, startled at the girls skill, was barely able to make himself move to block both attacks. His moevements were a bit sloppy, but they did what they needed to. He took a few steps back from his opponent after blocking her finishing strike, and smiled. This won't be as boring as I thought. Ochiba thought to himself, preparing himself for a long spar. He took the few steps he need to get closer to her, before swinging at her head. The swing was a bit high, and would clear above her, which was exactly what Ochiba was aiming for. He brought the blade back at her from the other side, as he brought himself low the the ground. When the bokken came back to hit his opponent, it would move to sweep her off of her feet.

Kaiyo was enjoying herself, deciding she should come here more often. Despite the fact the blade was aimed for above her head the girl still ducked out of habit, the bokken slicing through the air above her. Her legs still bent, Kaiyo smiled as the bokken came back and swept along at her feet. The girl definately hadn't expected that, being knocked down didn't even seem like the worst part, it was the fact that the bokken had connect with a bone and was throbbing like hell. Kaiyo loved a challenge, and Ochiba was certainly proving a fun opponent. The moment Kaiyo hit the ground she swung her leg across at Ochiba's feet, hoping to also catch him off guard.

Leaping backwards to her feet the girl nodded slightly to her opponent, showing her appreciation for his attack. The girl spun her ankle around for a moment; it still hurt. The girl had never been to bothered by injuries, Kaiyo had a high pain threshold, and a short temper. The small girl lunged forwards with her bokken, spinning on the ball of her left foot as she brought her sword with her, swiping it against Ochiba's left arm.

Ochiba felt he foot connect with his shin and bit down hard at pain shot up his leg. However, this didn't distract him from he attack. Their bokken met with a loud snap, as the two wooden weapons hit each other. Ochiba's bokken moved away from hers, as he had planned it. Without losing a second, Ochiba snapped his wrist clockwise, sending the blade back further and around to come at his opponent's side. Geez, judging only on her looks I wouldn't have expected this.. Ochiba thought to himself, finally getting serious.

Walking along the grounds the day seemed to drag along, almost moving slower as if father time was slowly dieing but as soon as Dage was about to blow a fuse he over heard what sounded like fighting. it was rather faint but he could hear the thudding of feet and the hollow sound of wood clashing together all seemed to be a calling card of a good battle, taking off into a sprint Dage tried his best to follow the sound losing at first then with a sudden and quick change of direction Dage found the sounds once again and found him self quickly coming to the doors of the training dojo.

With out opening the door some how entered the dojo, upon his entrance he could see two students training if anything els their movements were crisp with no opening showing this was to be a good fight if Dage can stay hidden with in the shadows and not rush them both attacking wildly.

"they are skilled in what they do, but offten that leads to flaws."

Vergil had been up for an hour and was too bored in his dorm waiting for something to happen. He was walking the academy grounds hoping to find an instructor so he could train more and get ahead. Graduation is almost near I just need to finish up my requirements and pass the test and I'll be a fully fledged member of the Gotei thirteen, Vergil thought. His facial expressions doesn't show it but knowing that he is so close is really bugging him. Vergil had noticed the sun was coming up and he stopped to look at it. Vergil always liked looking at the sun rise especially in the Seiretei. The white spiritual stone had made it so much prettier than in the human world.

Vergil stood their a couple of minutes to watch it before continuing on his walk through the grounds. He missed his sword Yamato. He wondered where could it have gone. He remembered through the years at the academy, up until now, others saying that they were able to keep all the possessions they had on them when they passed over to the Soul Society. Vergil kept wondering why he was able to keep his clothes and what he had in his pockets but not his beloved sword. Vergil tried to read up on it but didn't find anything on the topic only on the origins of the Zanpaukto. The blade he awoken with in the Soul Society with. Upon his entrance into the academy he had to turn it in and was promised it back for certain training exercises as well as upon his graduation. That was one of the reasons why he was so anxious to graduate so he can get the zanpaukto back and unravel it's secrets.

Vergil's walk had come to an end when he found himself at the Dojo where students at the academy would be trained in the art of the sword. Vergil, having already been trained the Iaido sword art, had some what of an advantage in the weaponry classes. He opened the door and saw two other academy students sparring with Bokkens, the wooden training swords that were given to teh students during their academy years, except on certain training exercises. Vergil went over to wehre the Bokkens were stored and grabbed one and leaned against the wall observing the fight. He felt an increase of spiritual pressure and quickly looked around the dojo with his eyes and not moving from his spot. This is too much of an increase for an instructor. Could it be a captain? Vergil thought. It was unusual for a captain to come to the academy unannounced and with out some sort of welcome ceremony. If it is true, this would be Vergil's closest encounter with a captain. The highest ranking shinngami he had met was only a normal squad member and was the one who recommended Vergil to the academy. Not seeing anyone besides the academy students who were sparring, vergil stopped looking but kept an awareness up. Vergil occupied him self with the spar that was happening, noting what they were doing and how they were retaliating and blocking as well as their footwork. Vergil like being prepared for a fight by knowing his opponent. Even though they weren't Vergil's enemies, he liked keeping tabs on his fellow peers fighting styles. He stood straight up and continued observing the spar. With his bokken being held in his left hand as if he were holding a sheathed katana, with his hand in the middle between the tip of the blade and the butt of the hilt.
