Name: [ ‘Wanizame’ Akuma Fuji ]

Gender: [ Male ]

Visual Age: [ ??? ]

Real Age: [ 310 ]

Reatsu Colour: [ Metallic silver ]

Appearance:

Spoiler:

[ First to start one will recognize his beastly facade and Wanizame taking on the form of anthropomorphic great white shark with all-white skin pigmentation. Another startling factor is his height and weight, as he stands at 7’ 9” and he roughly weighs 539 pounds. The texture of the beast skin is rough and coarse since his skin cells consist of sandpaper-like placoid scales. Aligned in his mouth are two rows of sharpened serrated teeth that can sink and tear through any flesh they sink themselves into. His eyes are different in the since his scelra appears to be black, on the surface of his blackened scelra are pupils of a light blue, and his irises are a common black. Like a shark Wanizame nose takes the form of a snout and across the bridge of that snout is a scar gained from one of his countless street fights. Adorn on his hands and feet are sharpened black claws whose length is miniscule in scale, but still damage can be done if scratched.

Physically Wanizame is powerfully-built and has a sharp muscle definition. This is not all for show as well, since the sharkman boasts incredible force when using his explosive strength. Additionally bodily Wanizame has some different features, first being a large dorsal fin that aligns along the spine and protrudes out the middle of his back. Also a smaller sized dorsal fin juts out near the top back of his head with two smaller fins finding their way sticking out in front and in back of the primary fin. To add he has a powerful tail whose length is seven feet from base to tip. Furthermore, connected onto the end of the appendage is an asymmetrical caudal fin used to help propel him at high speeds when swimming. Popping from his elbow and knees are spike-like extremities that add on to his intimidating look.

As for his shinigami uniform, Wanizame has completely recreated and modified his uniform to his specified liking. His haori and top to his shingami uniform are sleeveless and hold a tattered torn look. His obi is a thick white braided rope tied in a bow fashion. Wanizame one object that truly makes him shinigami, his zanpakuto, rests firmly and proudly on his left hip. His hakama pants reach shin length and before long one starts to see ragged bottoms that much resemble his sleeveless top. Dressed on his wrist and ankles are black golf ball-sized prayer beads. The most notable of his accessories, are the giant Buddhist beads around his trunk of a neck (think Akuma from Streetfighter). Completing his whole outfit and the last item are sturdy wooden geta sandals worn on his feet ]

Personality:

[ Wanizame has two sides of personality that can be displayed, the monster outer surface that you see when looking at him or the internal calm, carefree, more humanistic side. At times he can seem volatile and unsocial, but the reason for this is due to the way he had been treated in the past. One of his biggest pet peeves is when people ogle at his figure and not say a word. Though many may not understand it, he would much rather that you ask a question or two, no matter how offending it maybe. Wanizame is a mind that clearly knows the boundaries of right and wrong, but he considers his self a neutral, someone not bound on either side of the spectrum. He sees it as he can never be morally wrong, nor could he be morally right. On the other hand, in a moral dilemma the neutral body would find his self leaning more towards the positive side of the scale. Overall Wanizame is intricate persona that many don’t know has a bloodthirsty shark like personality that can be overridden by a gentler in nature human side and is a loyal friend waiting to be discovered ]

Likes and Dislikes:

-Wanizame is an odd type enjoying his meat rare and not cooked, but that’s not farfetched given the predator he takes after.
-Favorite food is fish
-Hates people that stare. O_O
-Loves swimming
-Finds cooler temperatures better than hot weather.
-Oddly attracted to bright colors.
-Fears not having someone he can call a true friend.
-Fears dying alone.

Division:

[ Division Ten - Captain ]

History:

[ The prior life for the humanoid fishman is a deep mystery that till this day seems to be endlessly elusive to the body that it is contained within. But with a mind that is a blank canvas always had Wanizame questioning and imagining what his previous existence may have been or consisted of. Due to his current form and nature he constantly believes a shark may have been his mirrored life. A terrorizing beast of the vast aqua hue and a mindless killing machine that at the scent of blood went on a senseless killing frenzy. Yet deep down in the catacombs of his psyche the anthropomorphic shark sometimes has repressed memories that manage to surface to him in dreams. Fantasies that in them a man at about the age of his early twenties lived a normal life in solitude, but was happy. A man that constantly found himself in a dojo practicing and perfecting a strange yet familiar fighting style. However, one day the man found himself stuck in a situation that was uncommon to his character. People chased the man, but he eluded the assailants and lived to fight on another day. Until finally his sins caught up with him and everything he had held dear burned in raging flames including his self. Up to this point Wanizame has no idea if those subdued memories correlate to him, but no longer did that matter anymore he had been given his new life, though at what cost.

When Wanizame had first woke up in the soul society and his blurred vision had become focused. He found nothing, but a plethora of eyes staring back into his own with confused looks, disgusted looks, curious looks, and looks of malice. Feeling like a goldfish in a bottle the figure rose to his massive height and took in his first glimpses of the Soul society, particularly one of the Rukongai districts. However, when the beast who didn’t know his true form questioned those around him about his location. Most ran in fear of his menacing outward appearance, but even more had thrown words of hatred. Frightened for his own life Wanizame escaped from the prejudice mob to a nearby lake. Sulking in shame the shark outline had made its was way over to a lake and the reflection that Wanizame laid eyes upon made him finally realize how and why the people he had first seen reacted the way they did. Wanizame would then only slip into a deeper state of depression and wonder why something like that had happened to him. For the next fifty years Wanizame had kept to his self hidden from most and fearful, but what the sharkman failed to comprehend was the vast power that embodied this monstrous form.

After living decades in absolute solitude, Wanizame would be found and visited by some unfriendly visitors. The beef that they had with the half-man half-shark was unknown, maybe they were just the prejudice type and didn’t like that he was a freak or maybe they planned on robbing him, either way they should not have disturbed him. When they had confronted the living thing the group was badly beaten and torn to shreds. That day a new persona was born and unleashed on the Soul society. The once afraid and timid Wanizame had mimicked his true figure and temperament. Now with a chip on his shoulder the monster did what he wanted when he wanted. People grew to fear him and thus started to call him ‘Wanizame’ meaning ferocious shark. Still the anthropomorphic creature was alone and that rejected feeling would never subside. At the same time he had started to get a grasp on his real power. The world of the shinigami was being thrown into chaos and the war that soon wreaked the lands would leave questions marks.

Over the next couple centuries Wanizame would travel the lonely road and had bounced from district to district, but over those years. He had developed into a street combatant and hand-to-hand being his highest level of expertise. Wanizame was a being that had to fight for his respect gaining more of it with every battle he won. Until it was finally concluded he was unbeatable, but that would quickly change when the overconfident pugilist got into a rare fight with a lieutenant of the Gotei 13. The fight Wanizame put up for someone who didn’t have a clue how to utilize his massive reitatsu was commendable and for that the shinigami had seemed to look passed his exterior form and saw the interior strength of a warrior. Ultimately the man had invited Wanizame to join the academy and with nothing better to do with his existence the fishman gladly accepted.

The next six years had been hell for Wanizame, but as an up and coming shinigami he was elite. Still the prejudice of others plagued him, but it was some that respected him. One thing though the Soul society had given the beast a purpose and for that he was grateful. The day he graduated was a fine day and he had finally ascended to the next level of shinigami-hood.

Subsequently following his graduation Wanizame was thrown into the life of a shinigami and being a rebuilding phase in the Soul society things were briefly explained to him. No matter, with the less, the sharkman had did more and excelled in his duties. Over the next eight years he would climb from his lowly twentieth position to the ninth seat. Everything was going well for Wanizame until one time on a hollow hunt the lowly ranked member of squad ten came across an Adjuchas class hollow. Outmatched, he was severely beaten and nearly devoured, but with some shine of luck, the fifth squad captain at that moment in time had rescued a near death Wanizame. Once restored back to health the shinigami went into overdrive training his self physically to be amongst the most dominant shinigami’s.

Five decades later, with numerous hollow battles and years of training Wanizame immense spiritual power had reached far beyond what others could imagine yet he only became Lieutenant of his squad. The giant sharkman did a wonderful job serving as the tenth’s division vice-captain and had a laidback impartial style that was intoxicating to those around him. Although not immediately effective his style made his subordinates enjoy his company. During the time of his servitude directly under his captain, secretly, he had achieved bankai. Now with this pinnacle of power at his disposal, he had become a force all of his own movement. So much so his shark side thirsted for more power and so he had challenged his former captain. The battle between the two was held in a private sector, because of the fact Wanizame rather had kept his bankai a secret. With an unrelenting, but cold, brutal, and calculating style, Wanizame was the winner. Claiming victory he had accepted his promotion through a rather frowned upon means by some, but to Wanizame only the strong survive. Now captain of squad ten Wanizame is focused on helping restoring the Soul society back to its former glory ]
